COCA provides options for those interested in pursuing careers in various aspects of arts administration and management. Our internship, volunteer and career opportunities allow individuals to hone their skills as arts administrators and future cultural leaders.

Staff Positions

Currently, there are no open staff positions at the Council on Culture & Arts (COCA).

Internships

COCA welcomes inquiries about internships from students interested in how a local arts agency functions. Most of our interns are graduate students in arts administration; however, we also have interns who are undergraduates, and very occasionally, high school students. We ask that all interns commit to working with us for at least one year (two semesters). All internships are hybrid with various in-person responsibilities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Many arts organizations need front of house volunteers (ticket takers, ushers and greeters), administrative volunteers (stuffing envelopes and answering phones) and help with lots of other tasks. COCA is always in need of volunteers in the form of COCA’s Street Team. This references our dedicated volunteers who attend arts events around town, documenting the event, speaking with organizers, and representing COCA!
