Mark Agee is a landscape and documentary photographer based in Southwest Georgia. His work explores the distinct energies of the American Southeast, from the ancient peaks of the Smoky Mountains, the fluid rhythms of the Atlantic coastline, to the rolling contours of Georgia’s Red Hills, and the ethereal environments beneath the ocean’s surface.
Mark’s perspective is rooted in an early background in photojournalism, where he developed a foundational commitment to clarity and timing. His early work was featured in regional newspapers, corporate publications, and distributed via the United Press International newswire. While much of his professional career was spent in the business sector—specializing in retail operations and information systems—photography remained a vital creative anchor and an essential reprieve from the pressures of corporate life.
Now dedicating his full effort to his craft, Mark blends his technical discipline with a deep respect for wild spaces. He photographs with purpose, preserving the emotional depth of the natural world before the light shifts. Mark is currently devoted to capturing the diverse ecosystems and events of the Southeast and sharing imagery that serves as a visual anchor for the viewer.
He is open to exhibition opportunities and custom fine art commissions.
