Spencer Hopkins

My yearning to create engaging and visually compelling films and photos can be traced back to watching Star Wars at age 8. From that moment, I was destined to make visuals that have fantastical, dream-like qualities; sharing my ideas with anyone who will take part, and carrying a positive outlook of the world along the way.

The immersive photos focus on different tabletop games, board games, and elements with all effects created in-camera and minimal post-production clean-up in Photoshop.

I love practical special effects in movies and wanted photos in this project to exist in the real world and make people wonder how they were created. Each photo takes, on average, about 3 to 4 hours to complete, which doesn’t include the time for concept and development! The creation process is very satisfying and I aim to make photos that wow.
