COCA Hiring FSU Federal Work Students | Fall 2026 & Spring 2027

The Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) is hiring FSU Federal Work-Study students for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Our student employees will get hands-on experience working with Tallahassee’s local arts agency and gain professional experience in areas including arts administration, exhibitions, public art, finance, communications, and community engagement.

Current Student 2026 openings:

Administrative Assistant: Job Opening ID #63304
Support COCA’s administrative and arts programming work while gaining experience in a professional nonprofit arts environment.

Finance Assistant: Job Opening ID #63303
Gain practical experience supporting financial and administrative operations for a local arts organization.

Applications are open through October 31, 2026.

How to apply

Because these are Federal Work-Study positions, applications are submitted through FSU’s Federal Work-Study job portal.
The portal is only accessible to students who are currently enrolled at FSU and have been awarded Federal Work-Study.

If you are an incoming or prospective FSU student, you can still keep these opportunities in mind for the Fall semester! Once you are enrolled and have been awarded Federal Work-Study:

Accept your Federal Work-Study award through FSU.
Complete any outstanding financial-aid requirements on your FSU account.
FSU’s Office of Financial Aid will send you an email with instructions for accessing the Federal Work-Study job portal and your Work-Study Authorization form.
Log in through myFSU and use the FWS job portal to search for available positions.
Search for Job Opening ID #63304 (Administrative Assistant) or #63303 (Finance Assistant).
Submit your application and attach your Federal Work-Study Authorization form. FSU also recommends including a resume.
COCA will review applications and contact selected candidates for an interview.

Important: Receiving a Federal Work-Study award does not automatically place you in a job. Students must apply, interview, and be selected by an employer. Please reach out to Sam Joslin Mueller at sam@tallahasseearts.org with any questions you may have regarding COCA's FSU Federal Work-Study positions.
