Contra Dance feat. Vicki Morrison & Yazoo Kickstarts

*This dance is part of the Contra-Cajun Weekend featuring back-to-back evening dances Dec. 11 & 12. Join our Cajun Dance the following night at the Senior Center 7:30-10:30!*  Tallahassee community contra dances are in full swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers”) vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of the night, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a short break mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
