The Northeast Branch does not seem to offer much if any adult art options. Nearly all they offer relate to mother-baby times or reading to young children which is great but a repeat topic every season- and seems may be on autopilot by now. By way of contrast, the Fort Braden just held a Mosaic tile making class for adults. The library staff there were engaging and helpful while we were there.

Leslie Cohen, a local artist knowledgeable about the mosaic tile making lead the event and taught us.

Although the Northeast Branch staff are friendly and helpful when i have come in, there is not much ambiance when you walk in that library branch which is near me and the lobby and main area just seems stale. Since I am leaving a comment that is not entirely positive, and I believe in offering a solution, I am willing to help try to find artists from our locale to come do hands on art projects if that will help to get somethings scheduled. There are arts societies, guilds and FSU has a very good fine arts department so i would think options to draw a volunteer or two to teach a 1.5 to 2 hr. class occasionally on a subject they have expertise in and maybe some would even want to display their art which would enliven the entrance/lobby.
I hope you will contact me.
