Mahjong 102 - Specialty Workshop | AR Workshop

Join us for an interactive Mahjong Social & Learning Event at AR Workshop Tallahassee,

led by Mary Ellen Downie @mahjcommunity.  She is a Certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor and is a member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild.

In this workshop, we will build on the basics learned in Mahjong 101 as you gain confidence in your game. We’ll start with a review of the tiles and proper Joker usage and then dive deeper into reading the card and how the walls are built and the tiles properly dealt. We’ll look at strategies to use in the Charleston and how to complete a “blind” pass.
We’ll cover mahjong etiquette and considerations in choosing a card to use in 2026.

BYOB and Snacks (snacks are also available for sale)

Registration fee is $75 per person.  Registrants will receive a 15% off voucher to be used in the AR Workshop Boutique.
