Art Show Announcement
When hurricanes Idalia, Debbie, and Helene swept through northwestern Florida, communities faced challenge after challenge. Yet, in the aftermath, artists came together, using their work to ignite hope, foster healing, get it done through resilience and inspire perseverance. “3 Strikes and You’re Out, But You’re Not” is an exhibition that honors these stories of resilience, offering a heartfelt tribute to everyone who has weathered the storm—literally and figuratively.
Background
The impact of the three hurricanes was felt in every corner of our region. Families rebuilt, neighbors supported each other, and volunteers worked tirelessly. This art show not only commemorates these efforts but also reminds us that disasters are ongoing events around the world. Our community’s spirit of recovery stands as a beacon of strength and unity.
Artists' Role
The artists featured in this show have spent a year planning, creating, and collaborating. Their commitment goes beyond personal recognition; their purpose is to uplift, encourage, and offer comfort. Through painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, each piece tells a story of hope, healing, and the unwavering perseverance found in our towns.
