Tallahassee Homeschool String Orchestra

The Tallahassee Homeschool String Orchestra (THSO) is a string education program dedicated to providing valuable ensemble experience to homeschool string students of varying playing levels. It is open to all homeschool students and other interested students as approved by the orchestra directors. All rehearsals begin with prayer and are taught with a Christian emphasis and worldview. THSO consists of seven ensembles for students between the ages of 3 and 18, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups. Co-directors are Joann Solari and Erika Sciascia. Rehearsals are at Thomasville Road Baptist Church (3131 Thomasville Road) on Wednesdays:

Poco Players: 10:05 am to 10:40 am (beginning strings 3 to 5)

New Class: 10:45 am to 11:20 am (beginning strings 6 to 7 and 5-8 with experience)

Preludio: 10:45 am to 11:20 am (strings 6 to 9 with 2-3 yrs experience)

Da Capo Strings: 11:35 am to 12:20 pm (intermediate strings 8 and up)

Accelerando: 11:35 am to 12:20 pm (intermediate strings 9/10 and up)

Sinfonia Allegro: 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm (audition only)

Arioso: 1:25 pm to 2:25 pm (audition only)
